Students from the Iosco RESA CTE Business Management program are proud to be competing in the 2026 Ferris State University / Auto-Owners Insurance Challenge — a statewide business simulation that brings together over 1,000 students from 36 Michigan high schools forming 84 teams in the 4 divisions.
This highly engaging competition allows students to step into the role of business leaders by managing a simulated insurance company through six rounds of strategic decision-making.
Real-World Business Experience
Throughout the competition, teams analyze market conditions, make pricing and investment decisions, and respond to industry challenges — all within a realistic simulation environment enhanced with AI-generated market feedback.
Hosted by Ferris State University in partnership with Auto-Owners Insurance, the challenge introduces students to key concepts in:

Financial strategy
Business operations
Leadership and teamwork
Preparing Students for Future Careers
