High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED/HiSET)

Overview:

We offer high school equivalency (GED or HiSET) and High School Diploma programs for adults 18 and older across Northeast Michigan. Our services span eight counties: Alcona, Alpena, Cheboygan, Iosco, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Otsego, Presque Isle.

When you join our program, we'll request transcripts from all your previous schools, allowing you to pick up right where you left off. Our Michigan-certified teachers are available to support your learning journey, whether you choose online classes, in-person labs, or a hybrid approach.

Best of all, our program is completely FREE, thanks to state and federal funding.

Your Educational Pathways:

Deciding to complete your education is a significant step toward building your future. We offer two distinct pathways to help you achieve your goals:

  • High School Diploma

    • A traditional diploma earned by completing required coursework. This option is ideal if you need just a few remaining credits to graduate.

  • GED/HiSET (High School Equivalency)

    • A set of exams that certify high school-level knowledge and skills. This pathway provides a flexible, faster route to certification for those who prefer an alternative to traditional coursework.

Both options open doors to:

  • College or trade school

  • Improved career opportunities

  • Personal growth and achievement

  • Financial independence

Who is Eligible?

  • Adults (18+) who did not complete high school that reside in any of our 8 counties

  • Individuals seeking a flexible path to earning their diploma or equivalency

  • People who are past traditional high school age but still want to graduate
