Iosco RESA Adult Education Mission Statement
In partnership with the communities we serve, the mission of the Iosco RESA Adult Education program is to ensure that all participants construct the knowledge and develop the skills and attributes necessary for a lifetime of learning and participation in a diverse, competitive, and changing world.

Education That Works for You

At Iosco RESA Adult Education, we believe everyone deserves access to quality education—regardless of their circumstances. Our programs are completely FREE and designed to meet you where you are on your educational journey.

High School Completion Programs

Earn your high school diploma or equivalency (GED/HiSET) with personalized support from Michigan-certified teachers. We'll request your previous transcripts so you can pick up right where you left off.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

Improve your English skills in a supportive environment with classes available at multiple locations. Our engaging approach focuses on practical language skills for work, education, and daily life.

Workforce Development

Prepare for in-demand careers through our Integrated Education and Training (IET) and Pre-Apprenticeship programs. Gain the skills and credentials employers value through our partnerships with Alpena Community College and MI Works! NE Consortium.

Flexible Learning Options

In-Person Classes

Join us at one of our many locations throughout Northeast Michigan for direct support from our dedicated teachers.

Distance Education

All of our locations offer participants a distance-learning option. Those working towards their GED or High School Completion can do so online, from any computer connected to the internet. Our participants are supported by Michigan certified teachers who are available to assist them.
